    Based in St Lucia, Gatton and Ipswich. Research and teaching university.

    University of Adelaide

    University of South Australia
    The largest university in South Australia. Offers courses to undergraduate and post graduate students in most disciplines.

    Flinders University

    University of Tasmania

    Monash University
    A large and diverse institution with particular strengths in external study. Campuses throughout Melbourne and the La Trobe Valley.

    La Trobe University
    A Melbourne-based university (Bundoora) also with a regional campus at Bendigo. The opening of the La Trobe University Medical Centre has further strengthened its dominance in provision of health care
